Rangefinder Magazine 1st Place Alt. Process

& People's Choice Award

March 2012 Fine Art issue
page 100
Magazine subscribers are receiving their copies this week, and it will show up in photography stores, news stands and Barnes & Noble some time next week.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this issue. I know that my gravure won something, and would be published (they asked me for a full res image and more information back in February). But, I thought it would just be a blurb with a small image from winning the viewer's choice award. I was blown away when I opened the magazine and discovered that the photogravure titled "Havasu" was chosen by the juror for first place in the Alternative Photographic Process category. (3rd place was also a photogravure.)

The cover price for Rangefinder Magazine is $5 (much less than many good photo magazines these days). They claim a circulation of over 60,000!!! While I would love all of my friends and colleages to pick up a copy to see my print published, there is so much beautiful work, by many good artists, in this month's issue that it's worth the $5 to enjoy it all.
